SLAPSTICK
slapstick comedy is a subgenre of comedy based on actions of exaggerated physical violence that nevertheless fail to cause real pain, always looking for farce, joke and humor away from common sense.
Slapstick may involve both intentional violence and violence by mishap, often resulting from inept use of props such
as saws and ladders.
SCREWBALL
Screwball is characterized by the presence of a strong female character whose relationship with the protagonist centers the story, fast dialogues, ridiculous situations, plots involving courtship and marriage and a clear intention to evade the viewer.
PARODY
A parody is a lampoon or imitation with intentional exaggeration of a specific target or subject for comedic effect. Parodies employ irony, humor, and satire to mock and or criticize their subjects.
