A book musical is a musical play where songs and dances are fully integrated into a well-made story with serious dramatic goals and which can evoke genuine emotions other than laughter.
CONCEPT
A concept musical is a work of musical theatre whose book and score are structured around conveying a theme or message, rather than emphasizing a narrative plot.
